Delicious EASY Tri-Color Chicken Soup

Image
Chicken soup is probably one of my favorites to make. You can do a slow cooker version, or on top of the stove. The version we will make today is probably the quickest, and it is very budget friendly. Altogether I spent about $10. It was a long day at work and I wanted some chicken soup. I purchased a bag of skinless frozen chicken thighs. You can use fresh if you prefer. Also, tip: for frozen chicken, cover in a pot of water, with some diced onion, salt pepper, garlic powder and let it boil for about 15 mins, the chicken will thaw and you made chicken broth !  It is the best go to recipe to make and you still have time to enjoy your day or evening. Kids love it and you can add ingredients that your family will like. I love a versatile recipe. It can be made many ways and still be delicious and it’s not the same boring meal each time.  This is done in about an hour, serve with cornbread and Voila! The recipe below will serve a large family. Scale back if you have a ...

I Have To Do Better

Hey there!  I have been absent from blogging, due to being ill. But, I am trying to get back at it. My entire house was ill, so caring for them, and us all getting better was a top priority. But, I digress.  The purpose of creating this blog was to share my own food journey’s through, cooking, recipes and my own food experiences. I have no idea how this is going to unfold. It is all trial and error at this point. I have a journal with goals and recipes written out, check. I have a plan for posting videos to social media, check. Daily affirmations, check. Watch tons of cooking shows, read recipe mags. Have fun, check, check,  and check. Sitting here trying to figure out what the hell to blog about, and drawing a blank, also check.  This blog will not have a recipe attached with every blog entry. Because, it is also going to be my diary. Oh, there will be plenty of food, and recipes but not every time. I don’t know if that is how this supposed to go but, again, w...

Me, Youtube, and Lasagna Soup!

Image
Hi there!  It is cold as ice outside! What better season for soup. Before I started posting to social media consistently, I posted a Lasagna Soup video to YouTube. I knew I wanted to share my recipes, and I just knew people would be so interested in what I shared. I mean why wouldn’t they be, I truly can make delicious food…WRONG!! Lol. The video got about 45 views, and went no where. 😂 At the time, I had watched 100’s of videos with, people cooking and cleaning. I could do this thing. I do both on a regular basis, why not record myself. Baby! The hard work, dedication and patience that goes into filming, editing and reposting. I was not prepared, nor, ready for what that actually meant. Filming is, lengthy. Getting the right camera angles, and the right shot, is important. Editing also, takes up quite some time. It took hours, splicing all the shots together, adding cool transitions and then music. Then there’s voiceover! I record, erase, record erase.. too blah, too overze...
