Baked BBQ Ribs

Hey, hey friends! I recently made some ribs in the oven and I have to say I was impressed. I think I had some bougie idea that ribs can only be made on the grill, and if you made them any other way, either by precooking or baking then you don’t know what you are doing. Boy, was I wrong. Also, before you come for me, be patient with me I am learning, okay?

The first time I made them my husband was so impressed, he called me from work to tell me they were so good and tender. He made sure to purchase more ribs so that I could make them again. When I decided to make them I called to ask him what sides he wanted, his response was, “who cares, I’m just glad you are making those ribs again” lol!!

If you make these ribs, you will not be disappointed. If you are disappointed, I’m sorry to say, you did not make em right!! Lol, just kidding.

The recipe is quite simple and easy. Slow and steady is the secret! The low temp allows them to slowly cook, so you achieve maximum tenderness…You can tweak the recipe to your liking, but, remember, slowly cook. The final product will be a tender, fall apart ribs, that is mouthwatering and tender. Your family will be asking for more! Be patient, pour your love into it and watch what happens!

It’s important to wrap the ribs in foil to seal in the juices and achieve that tenderness.

It’s also important to let the ribs rest after cooking, so they don’t get dried out. DO NOT CUT THEM UNTIL THEY HAVE RESTED ATLEAST 10 mins…

Remember I don’t measure my seasonings, please do what works for you however, don’t under season the meat, or your ribs will be bland.

Baked BBQ Ribs

Ingredients:

2- 2 1/2 lbs Baby Back Ribs

Foil

Chili Powder

Garlic Powder

Onion Powder

Seasoned Salt

Black Pepper

Smoked Paprika

Liquid Smoke

Malt Beer (optional)

Your favorite bbq sauce

Step One: Preheat the oven to 275. Lay a large piece of foil on a baking sheet, use enough foil to wrap the meat in.

Step Two: Lay the meat on top of the foil and season both sides. Sprinkle liquid smoke and rub the seasoning and smoke flavor into the meat, until it is fully covered.

Step Three: If you choose to add beer, pull up the foil on all sides of the rib so the liquid does not leak. Pour some beer into the cap or cup. Sprinkle some over the meat. Not too much just enough for flavor. DO NOT SOAK IN BEER.

Step Four: Completely cover and wrap the ribs. Bake for 2-3 hours.

Step Five: Turn the oven up to 500’ degrees. Completely unwrap and uncover the ribs. Rub bbq sauce on the ribs and cook an additional 10-12mins

Step Six: remove from the oven. Let stand atleast 10 mins before cutting. Enjoy!!
